Toyota has officially launched the new Innova TRD Sportivo variant in Indonesia. This variant was launched on August 17, 2020, which is also the 75th Indonesian Independence Day. Adding to it, the Japanese automaker has also introduced the Sienta Welcab.
The new Limited Edition variant is introduced to clear the existing stocks, as Toyota is readying the facelift Innova. The new Innova TRD Sportivo comes equipped with an air purifier or Integrated Air Purifier, which cleans the cabin air. This feature also gets intelligence air quality control, which shows the condition of the air quality in the cabin.
The Innova TRD Sportivo limited edition model also gets an air filter, which removes small particles (PM 2.5 or less) to offer better quality air.
Talking about exterior features, the new model gets TRD Sportivo front bumper with front grille ornament, new TRD Sportivo rear bumper, new 17-inch black painted alloy wheel, and new TRD side skirt. Inside the cabin, the new Innova TRD Sportivo gets new premium wooden instrument panel, an advanced 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and illuminated LED.
The new Innova TRD Sportivo gets dual front SRS airbags and knee airbag, ABS with EBD and brake assist, and ISOFIX with Tether anchor. It is available in four exterior colour options – attitude black, dark gray mica metallic, silver metallic and super white. The new model is powered by a 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produces 148bhp of power and 343Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
Toyota is also readying the facelifted version of the Innova, which is likely to be launched in Indonesia before the end of this year. The new model is expected to arrive in our market in early 2021. The company will first launch the Urban Cruiser compact SUV and the Fortuner facelift before Diwali.
