Toyota Innova Crysta CNG To Launch In Coming Months

We have reported earlier that Toyota is working on the CNG variant of its highly popular MPV – the Innova Crysta. Post lockdown, the carmaker has resumed testing of the new model in the country. While its official launch date and details are yet to be revealed, the new Toyota Innova Crysta CNG is reported to arrive in the third quarter of this year (i.e. July – September). It’s likely to be based on the entry-level G trim and is estimated to be priced around Rs 80,000 to 1 lakh premium over the petrol variant.

Details of the Toyota Innova Crysta CNG are still under the wraps. It’s likely to feature 2.7L, 4-cylinder petrol engine paired to a CNG kit. The gasoline motor pushes out a peak power of 166PS and 245Nm of torque. The power and torque figures of the CNG model might be slightly lower than the petrol motor. While the Innova Crysta petrol comes with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox option, the CNG variant will be offered with the manual transmission only.
