Toyota Kirloskar Motors seems to launch the CNG version of the Glanza premium hatchback in coming weeks. Prior to its market arrival, its specifications and variant details have been leaked on the web. As per the leaked document, the Toyota Glanza CNG will be offered in three variants – S, G and V. All models will feature a 1.2L, 4-cylinder petrol engine paired to a factory-fitted CNG kit. The setup will deliver a claimed power of 76bhp at 6,000rpm. It will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox only.
No changes will be made to its overall length, width and height. The Toyota Glanza CNG will be 3990mm long, 1745mm wide, 1500mm (unladen) tall and has a wheelbase of 2520mm. All three CNG variants of the hatchback will have GVW of 1450kgs. While the leaked document doesn’t have mention of its mileage, the previously leaked data revealed that it will return fuel economy of 25km/kg.
Feature-wise, the Glanza CNG V variant will come with the same set of equipment including a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay Cast Pro S functionality and Over-the-air (OTA) audio updates, Arkamys audio system, a 360 degree parking camera, auto fold wing mirrors, auto dimming interior rear view mirror, leather wrapped steering, cruise control, UV protect glass, LED DRLs and LED fog lamps.
In other updates, the company will soon introduce the Toyota Camry sedan with flex fuel option on 28th September 2022. The information comes from Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways. Specifications of the Toyota Camry flex fuel are still under the wraps. For people not in the know, a flex fuel powertrain has internal combustion engine (ICE) and it can run on one or a mixture of fuel. Usually, it’s a mixture of petrol and ethanol or methanol. These powertrains can also run on 100 percent petrol or ethanol.
