Toyota’s electric vehicle zone was graced by the Prius PHV (Plug-in-hybrid). Visually, the Toyota Prius PHV looks exactly similar to the regular hybrid Prius. Though, the major change lies beneath the hood. The PHV version features an internal combustion engine combined with the battery powered electric motor. This powertrain can make a top power output of 96.5bhp at 5,200rpm and 142Nm at 3,600rpm. Toyota claims that it reduces the CO2 emissions while driving to merely zero. One can changed the vehicle on the go, increasing the range of use of EV mode. Transmission on offer is an e-CVT (electronically-controlled continuously variable transmission).

Dimensionally, the sedan measures 4.645m in length, 1.760m in width and 1.470m in height with a wheelbase of 2.70m. On the exterior, it features 15-inch alloys with 195/65 R15 tyres, shark fin antenna, integrated lip spoiler and brake lamp. Inside, the dashboard has vertical layout with a large display on the center console, all black door pads, gear shift knob in blue finish, etc.

5. Toyota FCV Plus

Toyota FCV (Fuel Cell Vehicle) Plus also shared the floor with the other Toyota cars at Auto Expo 2018. Measuring sub-4m in length, the Toyota FCV Plus has fuel cell stack mounted in between the front tyres and hydrogen tank at the rear. Besides its own hydrogen tank, the vehicle can also generate electricity directly from hydrogen stored outside it. Interestingly, it shares its power generation capabilities with communities as a part of the local infrastructure when it’s not being used for transportation. While the rear wheels of the car are covered, the front wheels are exposed. It gets compact and small headlamp console. The concept misses out on dashboard, though it gets a steering wheel with mounted controls.
