Tork Motorcycles, the Pune-based startup, had showcased the Tork T6X electric motorcycle in late 2016. We haven’t heard much about the launch and other timeline for the new e-motorcycle for quite some time. The motorcycle was last spotted testing in 2019. It seems like Tork Motorcycles has again started working on introducing the T6X e-bike with some road-oriented changes.

The Tork T6X electric motorcycle has been spotted testing again, but with significant changes. The spotted model looks like a near production-ready motorcycle. It has much sharper and sleeker design than the one unveiled in 2016. The spotted model has newly styled fuel tank with more pronounced extensions.

Also visible are small shroud on both sides of the bike that appears like a faux radiator guard. The original model has exposed trellis subframe, which is now covered with plastic panels. The Tork T6X has split seat design with grab rails for the pillion.

The motorcycle also gets newly styled LED lighting system. It gets a sportier looking LED headlamp. The spotted model has newly styled alloys, which seems wrapped with MRF Nylogrip Zapper tyres. The motorcycle retains the telescopic front forks and monoshock unit.

Details about the powertrain are yet to be revealed. Last month, Tork Motorcycles had shared an instagram post showcasing a new electric motor with Axial Flux Technology. The company claims that this motorcycle has an efficiency rating of 90-96%, which is 5-6% better than the traditional motor.

This new motor is claimed to have reduce the battery size and improves the longevity without compromising on the range on offer. The post stated “the efficiency of the electric motor is determined by copper and iron losses. The absence of iron stator yoke significantly lowers iron losses.”

The original bike was equipped with a 6kW electric motor. It should offer an electric range of up to 100kms with a top speed of around 100kmph. It is expected to be priced around Rs Rs 1.5 lakh.
