2022 Kia Seltos Facelift Testing Begins; New Details Emerge

Korean automaker, Kia has recently released the Carens 3-row MPV for India as well as global markets. The company has also started working on the Kia Seltos facelift, which has been spotted testing in South Korea. The current model was first introduced in June 2019 and is set to receive a mid-life update in 2022.

The vehicle was spotted with heavy camouflage on the front as well as in the rear. It is expected that the new Seltos facelift won’t receive significant changes. It is likely to get a revised headlamp setup with an updated LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) and slightly revised grille. The changes could be in-line with the latest Kia Carens, which has Kia’s new Opposite United design philosophy.

This is an early prototype and the final model could receive more changes. The 2022 Kia Seltos is likely to receive a new front bumper and a more prominent grille. The vehicle is likely to get revised rear profile, featuring updated tail-light and the bumper. These changes are not as significant as the one offered on the new Hyundai Creta, which has completely revised front and rear design.

The new Kia Seltos facelift is not likely to receive major changes inside the cabin. It could get new colour scheme, or upholstery along with new connectivity features. The SUV will retain the existing features such as a panoramic sunroof, UVO connected car tech, automatic AC, air purifier, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument console and others.
