Further expanding its CNG model lineup, Tata Motors has introduced the Tiago NRG CNG in the country. The factory-fitted CNG kit has been offered on the XT and XZ variants, priced at Rs 7.40 lakh and Rs 7.80 lakh respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom. Both CNG variants are Rs 90,000 more expensive than their standard counterparts. For power, the model uses the same 1.2L petrol engine with a CNG kit delivering power worth 73PS and 95Nm of torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Save of the ‘i-CNG’ badging, no other changes have been made to the Tata Tiago NRG CNG. On the feature front, the model offers all-black interior theme, a 2-DIN audio system, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, height adjustable driver’s seat, steering mounted controls, a vanity mirror on the passenger side.
The home-grown automaker will soon roll out a special edition of the Tata Harrier. The teaser hints that it could be an Adventure edition similar to the Tata Safari Adventure Persona. The Harrier special edition might be based on the range-topping XZA+ variant that offers features such as a panoramic sunroof, auto dimming IRVM, 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat and 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Under the hood, the model will feature the same 170bhp, 2.0L diesel engine.
Recently, the company offered USB Type C ports at the front as standard fitment on the Safari model lineup. The SUV’s XZS variant gets enhance electronic stability program and the ZX+ variant receives disc brakes on all four wheels. It also comes with the wireless charger and electronic parking brake.
Tata Motors is reported to showcase the new Harrier and Safari facelifts at the 2023 Auto Expo. The biennial event is slated to begin on 13th January at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida.
