Buoyed by positive response for new breed of cars, Tata Motors is planning to launch a wide range of new models and electric cars in the Indian market. Not just new models, Tata Motors is also developing new generations of its existing range including Nexon, Tiago and the Tigor.
A new media report claims that Tata Motors is now working on a new Dark Edition, which is likely to be launched in the first quarter of 2022. Like the Harrier Dark Edition, the new Tata Safari Dark Edition will receive an all-black treatment on the exterior.
The Dark Edition is expected to receive blacked-out front grille and black alloy wheels. The chrome treatment in the current model is replaced with black trim.
Inside the cabin, the Safari Dark Edition is likely to get Benecke Kaliko leatherette upholstery with tri arrow perforations and #Dark embroidery on the seat headrests. The same was offered on the Harrier Dark Edition.
The Dark Edition of the Safari will continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produces 168bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices are likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
