Tata Motors has further expanded the Harrier SUV model lineup with the addition of two new Dark Edition variants. Now, the Tata Harrier Dark Edition is available on mid-level XT and XT+ variants priced at Rs 16.50 lakh and Rs 17.30 lakh respectively. Both variants are around Rs 10,000 more expensive than their standard counterparts.
Earlier, the Harrier Dark Edition was available on the fully-loaded XZ and XZ+ trims only. While the Tata Harrier Dark Edition XZ has been priced at Rs 17.85 lakh, the XZ+ costs Rs 19.10 lakh. The XZA and XZA+ Dark Edition with diesel-automatic combination can be had at Rs 19.15 lakh and Rs 10.30 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.

Besides this, the carmaker has increased price of the newly-launched Tata Harrier XT+ variant by Rs 98,000. After the price hike, the XT+ variant costs Rs 17.20 lakh. The new model has been offered with a panoramic sunroof featuring rollover screen with black coating on glass, rain sensing closure and anti-pinch.
Talking about the Tata Harrier Dark Edition, the model comes painted in Atlas Black colour with 17-inch black alloy wheels and ‘Dark’ badge on the exterior. It has grey headlamp bezels, blackened skid plates and black door handles. The sporty black treatment continues inside the cabin as well. The Dark Edition offers blackstone matrix dashboard, contrast grey stitching, Benecke-Kaliko Blackstone leather seats and door pads and Blackstone leather handles for console and door pads.
Based on the Omega Arc platform, the Tata Harrier derives its power from a 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine delivering power worth 138bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission duties are done by 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. One must note that the XT and XT+ variants are available with a manual transmission only. In near future, the carmaker will introduce the Harrier with petrol engine.
