Tata Nexon With Massive Tyres, Off-Road Elements Looks WOW!

Tata Nexon subcompact SUV is one of the top-selling offerings from the home-grown carmaker in the country. The model received its first mid-life update earlier this year. Sporting Tata’s new Impact 2.0 design philosophy, the compact SUV comes with revised bumper, new headlamps with LED DRLs, LED projector lens, newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels and updated taillamps with the new tri-arrow signature lights.

While the original Nexon already looks sporty with its new design language and compact dimensions, AK Designs gives it a digital tweak to make it look more aggressive and off-road ready. The rendered Tata Nexon features steel rims with bead locks and massive balloon tyres. The front bumper has been tweaked to improve the approach angle. Read – Tata HBX New Design Details Leaked

Design bits such as modified wheel arch extensions, a more durable scuff plate, a winch, two tow shackles, modified front fenders and side step for easy ingress and egress further enhance its off-roading looks. No other changes have been made to this digitally rendered Nexon.

Recently, the carmaker introduced the new bi-arrow theme for the lower grille of the Nexon compact SUV. The new unit has 3 arrows in the left and right highlighted in white shade. The updated grille has been made available on select variants including XZ+/XZA+, XZ+(S)/XZA+ (S) and XZ+ (O)/ XZA+ (O).

At present, the Tata Nexon is available with two BS6 compliant engines – a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel. While the former is good enough for 118bhp and 170Nm, the latter one makes 108bhp against 260Nm of torque. The compact SUV can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT gearbox.

The carmaker is planning to introduce a dual-clutch automatic gearbox on the Nexon model lineup. The new DCT model might get a Punch-sourced 7-speed DT-1 dual-clutch unit that will soon debut on the Altroz premium hatchback.  Designed for the compact vehicles, the new DCT unit will be more efficient and refined than the existing AMT transmissions.
