As mentioned above, the new Tata Altroz XE+ trim comes with both petrol and diesel engine options. Powering the petrol model is the 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated motor delivering power worth 85bhp and 113Nm of torque. The hatchback can also be had with a 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine pushing out a peak power of 108bhp and 140Nm of torque. The diesel version derives power from a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo unit that’s good enough for 89bhp and 200Nm.

Recently, the Tata Altroz achieved 1 lakh production milestone in the country. The automaker rolled out the 1,00,000 unit of the hatch from its Pune based facility in the month of September 2021. Based on the Alfa (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform, the Altroz scored 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test, thus making it the safest hatchback in the country.
