Tata Altroz to Get A New Variant With 3 Fuel Options

Tata Altroz hatchback model lineup will be further expanded with a new XM+ (S) variant that will sit between the XM+ and XT variant. The new mid-spec variant will be offered with three fuel options – 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel and 1.2L petrol with CNG kit. The new XM+ (S) variant will have some additional features on offer including rain-sensing wipers, a shark fin antenna and a knitted roof line. Features such as a digital instrument cluster and sunroof will be reserved for the CNG version.  

Besides this, the carmaker will introduce a few new features on the XT and XT Dark variants. The list will include leatherette seats, leather wrapped steering wheel (Dark Edition only), hyper-styled wheels, reverse camera, sunglasses holder, adjustable rear headrest and climate control.

Tata Altroz iTurbo Petrol

The new Tata Altroz XM+ (S) price is expected to be around Rs 15,000 – Rs 20,000 premium than the XM+ variant. It’s likely to go on sale towards the end of May 2023. The new mid-spec and updated XT and XT Dark variants will be introduced alongside the Altroz CNG.

Talking about the hatchback’s CNG version, the model will be made available with the 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine paired to a CNG dual-cylinder setup fitted under the boot floor. It pushes out a peak power of 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. The Altroz CNG will return a fuel efficiency of 26.49km/kg. It will come in 6 variants (3 with sunroof) and the top-end XZ+ will get some exclusive features such as an air purifier, a rearview camera with dynamic guideways, leather seats, height adjustable front seat belts, connected car tech with remote vehicle control via smartphone, an 8-speaker audio system, brake sway control, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, wireless charger, auto headlamps, a rear fog lamp and tyre pressure monitoring system.
