Tata Altroz CNG Details Leaked – 6 Variants, 3 With Sunroof

Bookings for the upcoming Tata Altroz CNG were commenced at Rs 21,000 from 19th April 2023. The premium hatchback will be offered in 6 CNG variants, spread across four trims – XE, XM+, XZ, XZ+. Deliveries will start in the month of May. Ahead of its market arrival, its brochure scan has been leaked on the web revealing feature details. It confirms that the three variants of the Altroz CNG will be offered with an electric sunroof with voice assist.

Features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 4 speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 4-inch digital instrument cluster steering-mounted controls, voice assist, What3Words navigation, remote keyless entry, central locking, front and rear USB sockets and electric foldable ORVMs are also on offer.

The range-topping XZ+ trim comes with some exclusive goodies including an 8-speaker audio system, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, brake sway control, wireless charger, connected car tech with remote vehicle control via smartphone, height adjustable front seat belts, leather seats, an air purifier, a rearview camera with dynamic guideways, a rear fog lamp, auto headlamps and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Powering the Tata Altroz CNG is the 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine paired to a factory-fitted CNG dual-cylinder setup that’s placed under the boot floor. The setup delivers a claimed power of 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. The gasoline unit (alone) pushes out a maximum power of 76bhp and 103Nm of torque. Similar to the Tiago and Tigor CNG version, the Altroz CNG is expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of 26.49km/kg.

Compared to their standard petrol counterparts, the Altroz CNG is expected to cost around Rs 90,000 premium. Tata will also introduce the Punch CNG in coming months. Showcased at this year’s Auto Expo, the model will come with the same powertrain setup as the Altroz CNG.
