Tata Altroz Racer Launching In 2024 – Nexon’s Engine, Sunroof

Tata Motors is working on multiple new cars including the Curvv and the Harrier EV, which are scheduled to be launched sometime in 2024. The company will launch the updated versions & new editions of the existing models including the Punch and the Altroz. Tata will introduce the Punch EV with some changes and similar updates will be made to the ICE version. The homegrown automaker had showcased the new Altroz Racer Edition at the 2023 Auto Expo.

The Tata Altroz Racer edition has already been caught testing multiple times on the Indian roads. If reports are to be believed, the special edition will be launched in our market sometime in 2024. The new model will come with a more powerful petrol engine, new features and cosmetic design upgrades. It will also be the most powerful model in its category.

Tata Altroz Racer Engine

The Tata Altroz Racer Edition will come with a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, which we have already seen on the new Nexon & the Harrier. Adding to it, the sportier hatchback will have a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, 6 airbags, shark fin antenna, rear air-con vents and voice activated electric sunroof.

The hatchback will come with 6 airbags as standard. In terms of features, the Altroz Racer comes with ventilated seats, leatherette seats with red & white racing stripes, projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and racer badging. It will also come with 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.

Tata Altroz Racer Touchscreen

The sportier hatchback also comes equipped with a more powerful turbocharged petrol engine, which is offered on the Nexon petrol. It is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 120PS at 5500rpm and a peak torque at 170Nm between 1750rpm & 4000rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Tata Altroz Racer Edition will directly rival the Hyundai i20 N Line that sports a 118bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine. Transmission choices include a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
