2024 Hyundai Creta N Line – What To Expect?

Set to be launched in early 2024, the new Hyundai Creta N Line will be powered by a 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine with a 7-speed DCT.

The Korean automaker, Hyundai is currently selling two products under its N Line performance brand in our market. The company claims that the N Line models are “everyday sports cars fitted with sporty design elements and upgrades that are characteristically N. “N” is the official name of Hyundai’s high-performance brand. The ‘N’ represents two important elements – the Namyang district in South Korea (birthplace of the N brand & Hyundai’s Global R&D Center and the Nurburgring racetrack in Germany. The racetrack is the home to Hyundai’s Technical Center which is used to test the N vehicles. 

While the N brand is yet to hit our market, Hyundai India is selling the i20 N Line and the Venue N Line models. The company aims to introduce more new models under the N Line nameplate in our market. If reports are to be believed, the new Hyundai Creta will also receive the N Line version in our market. The Hyundai Creta N Line will be the third model from the Korean giant in the N Line range in our market. 

Hyundai Creta N Line Grille

Hyundai is already selling the Creta N Line in select international markets. First introduced in June 2022, the Creta N Line comes with sportier design and revised interior along with minor mechanical upgrades. The Brazilian-spec model features a 2.0L NA petrol engine that produces 157bhp and 188Nm. The flex-fuel version pushes out 167bhp & 202Nm of torque. 

2024 Hyundai Creta N Line Launch Timeline

Hyundai is preparing the new Creta SUV, which is scheduled to be launched sometime in early next year. A recent report claims that Hyundai will also introduce the Creta N Line in our market in the same period. However, Hyundai is yet to make an official statement on the same. The new model is most likely to go on sale by March 2024.

The new model will be offered on the top-spec variant. It is most likely to cost somewhere around Rs 18 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Design

Hyundai claims that the new Creta will be different from the Creta facelift on sale in select international markets. The Creta N Line models will look largely identical to the new model. The new model is likely to follow a similar design theme as the other N Line models on sale in our market. It is expected to receive subtle design changes in the form of a sportier bumper, a more prominent grille and front chin along with N Line specific red accents and gloss black treatment and faux brushed aluminium bits. 

The new Hyundai Creta N Line is likely to get uniquely styled alloy wheels and side skirts. The SUV will have a sportier rear bumper along with dual exhaust setup. Also on offer will be the N Line badges on all sides. 

Interior

The cabin layout of the new Creta N Line will be similar to the regular model. However, it is likely to get an all-black interior scheme. Similar to the current N Line models, the new sportier Creta will have N Line specific gear lever and steering wheel with red stitching. The SUV is likely to get aluminium pedals and the sills. In terms of features, the SUV will share the dashboard layout with the new Verna sedan with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.1-inch digital driver display. In terms of features, the SUV will get Bose sound system, panoramic sunroof, drive mode selector, ventilated front seats, automatic AC & push-button start with on-site key.

The new Creta N Line is powered by a new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that also powers the new Verna and the Alcazar. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 160bhp and a peak torque of 253Nm. It is likely to be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The new model is expected to come with a sportier suspension setup, a louder exhaust and stiffer steering setup.
