Take a look at Hyundai Creta Electric’s Interior!

The Creta, which holds the title of India’s best-selling SUV and is Hyundai’s top-selling model, is set to undergo an electric transformation within the next few years. Recent sightings of test prototypes confirm that its development is progressing as planned, and the final version is scheduled to arrive in 2025, as promised by the automaker. What adds to the excitement is the first glimpse of its interior, as captured by the folks at Motorbeam. Although the model is still in its early testing phase, it provides a preview of the changes we can expect.

One notable aspect is the redesigned instrument cluster, which will feature EV-specific information such as battery status and range. Compared to its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, the Hyundai Creta electric will sport a slightly smaller touchscreen infotainment system. The gear selector is likely to be replaced with a rotary knob for changing drive modes. Expect the electric version to come with a range of new and modern technologies.

While the test mule is based on the existing Creta version, it is possible that the electric variant of the SUV will be introduced as a facelift or a new-generation model. It’s worth mentioning that the Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to be launched in early 2024.

As for the specifications of the Hyundai Creta EV, they remain unknown at this point. Speculations suggest that the electric SUV might share its powertrain with the Hyundai Kona EV, which features a 100kW permanent magnet synchronous motor and a 39.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The Kona EV offers an ARAI-certified range of 452km on a full charge.

Speaking of the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift, the model will receive significant updates both inside and out. The most notable upgrade will be the addition of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology, along with an updated BlueLink connected car system and a 360-degree camera. The SUV will also see the introduction of the Verna’s 1.5L turbo petrol engine, replacing the older 1.4L turbo petrol unit.
