Take a close look at the camouflaged model in these fresh spy pictures! This is our first glimpse of the new 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift, cruising on Indian roads.
What have we noticed?
To Hyundai’s credit, the test mule is well-covered, sealing everything up nice and tight. However, upon closer inspection, we can see its 18-inch alloy wheels (similar to the Alcazar) and a revised front grille inspired by the global-spec Palisade SUV. In fact, the updated SUV model will share its vertically positioned headlamps with the Palisade, although the new LED DRL signature is different.
Major upgrades inside the cabin
We didn’t get a treat of its interior, but it’s worth noting that the new 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift will come with Hyundai SmartSense ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology. This suite, also available on the Verna sedan, will offer features such as lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind spot collision avoidance assist, forward collision warning, blind spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, leading vehicle departure alert, and lane following assist. The new Creta will also come with the updated BlueLink connected car technology, offering features such as stolen vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle immobilization, and a valet parking mode. A 360-degree camera will also be available.
Verna’s turbo-petrol engine
For power, the new 2024 Hyundai Verna facelift is likely to use the Verna’s 1.5L turbo-petrol engine, capable of producing 160bhp and 253Nm. This new unit will replace the old 1.4L turbo-petrol motor. The existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (113bhp/144Nm) and 1.5L diesel (113bhp/250Nm) engines will also be carried forward. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
When will it go on sale?
The official launch date and details of the new Hyundai Creta facelift are yet to be revealed. However, the SUV is likely to hit the market in early 2024, possibly in February.
