After launching the Slavia 1.0 TSI Version, Skoda has now launched the more powerful 1.5L TSI version of the Slavia sedan. The Skoda Slavia 1.5L TSI version is available in a singly, fully loaded Style trim. The manual version is priced at Rs 16.19 lakh, while the 1.5L TSI automatic costs Rs 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Interested buyers can book the new Slavia variant online or at authorised Skoda dealership. Deliveries for the new Skoda Slavia 1.5L TSI will commence towards the end of this month. The 1.5 TSI MT is around 2.20 lakh expensive that the 1.0 TSI, while the AT is around 2.40 lakh expensive than the 1.0 TSI Style AT.
The new model is powered by a more powerful 1.5-litre 4-cylinder, TSI turbo petrol engine that powers the Kushaq. This engine produces 150bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission) automatic.
In terms of styling, the new Slavia 1.5 TSI looks exactly similar to the 1.0 TSI Version. The new Skoda sedan has all the features that are accessible in the less powered variant. It is equipped with a free-standing 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
Other features include digital instrument console, automatic AC, connected car tech, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, electric sunroof and a wireless charger. In terms of safety, the sedan gets six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), electronic differential system (EDS) and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The new Skoda Slavia is positioned against the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Volkswagen will also launch the new Virtus mid-sized sedan, which is set to make global debut on March 8, 2022.
