Skoda Kushaq Real World Images and Video – Creta Fighter

Skoda Kushaq recently made its debut in its production avatar in the country. The mid-size SUV is the first offering from Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s India 2.0 project based on the heavily-localized MQB AO IN platform. Official launch of the new Kushaq is likely to happen in coming months.

Here, it will challenge dominance of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The Skoda SUV will also lock horns against the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun and MG Astor, which are slated to arrive in the second half of 2021.

For the first time, the production-ready Kushaq SUV has been caught on camera without any camouflage. Painted in Blue shade, the model features crystalline LED headlamps with LED DRLs, a blacked out grille with chrome accents, skid plates with silver accents and a sporty bumper at the front end.

The bold character line, 17-inch diamond-cut dual-tone alloy wheels (top-end variants only), roof rails and plastic cladding on the lower part of the doors and around the wheel wells enhance its side looks. The SUV gets warp around LED tails at the back.

The new Skoda SUV sits on 2651mm of wheelbase, which is longest in the segment. Its 4225mm long, 1760mm wide and 1612mm tall with a boot space of 1405-litres. Inside, the mid-size SUV has a layered dashboard with a thin chrome bar running across it. Read – New-Gen Skoda Fabia To Debut Next Month

Major attraction of its interior is the free-standing, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smarphone connectivity and connected car technology. It has touch panel for the climate control. Similar to the Superb, the Skoda Kushaq features two-spoke steering wheel with knurled scroll wheels and buttons for phone and audio controls.

The top-end variant is exclusively offered with a digital instrument cluster. It gets 6-speakers audio system with a 50w subwoofer along with features such as wireless Smartlink, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, internal memory storage and more.

Buyers will have two engines to choose from – 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol. The 1.0 TSI unit makes power worth 115bhp and comes with the 6-speed manual and torque convertor automatic gearbox options. The 1.5L gasoline unit delivers 150bhp and can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
