Royal Enfield Testing A Fully-Faired Bike On Continental GT 650

Royal Enfield is very aggressive with its product strategy for India as well as global markets. The company has recently launched the new Hunter 350, which also become RE’s second best-selling model in our country. Adding to it, RE is also working on multiple new bikes including new Bullet 350, Himalayan 450 and new 650cc cruiser & Classic. What’s interesting is that a new RE Continental GT 650 has been spotted with a biking fairing.

The spotted model has remote adjusters for the twin rear shock absorbers. This suggests that Royal Enfield could introduce a road-going version of their race bike, the GR-R 650, used in the RE Continental GT Cup. The spy image reveal that the new motorcycle has a small front fairing with mounting points for a full set of fairing as well.

RE Continental GT 650 Fully Faired suspension

Current RE Continental GT 650 is heavily modified in aftermarket where most of the customers have added full fairing kit. It is expected that Royal Enfield could offer the fully fairing kit as a factory-fitted option or an accessory. Due to front fairing, the spotted model has the bar-end mirrors instead of the conventional mirrors in the regular model. The side view mirrors appear to be units found in RE’s vast accessories catalogue.

The spotted model has Dux Deluxe colour scheme and appears mechanically similar to the standard Continental GT 650. The twin rear shock absorbers feature a remote adjuster, which is likely to be added to fine-tune the suspension in the testing stages.

Not just faired motorcycle, Royal Enfield is also testing the Continental GT 650 with alloy wheels. It is expected that RE could soon introduce the upgraded version of the existing 650cc motorcycles. Adding to it, RE will also launch 3 new 650cc motorcycles including the RE Shotgun 650, Super Meteor 650 and a new 650cc Classic.
