New Tata Cars Likely To Be Unveiled At Auto Expo 2023 – New Harrier, EV

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Asia’s biggest automotive event – the 2022 Auto Expo did not take place. This biennial event is now happening in the third week of January 2023. A wide range of new cars, bikes and electric vehicles are expected to make their global debut at the auto event. Tata Motors is expected to showcase a wide range of new cars and EVs at the 2023 Auto Expo.

Tata Motors has started testing the new Harrier and Safari SUVs on the Indian roads. The new models are expected to be introduced at the 2023 Auto Expo. The new models will come with significant design changes and upgraded cabin. The spy images reveal that the new models will receive all-new front fascia, featuring a new grille, new headlamp with LED DRLs, revised LED tail-lamps and new set of alloys.

Major changes will be made inside the cabin. The new Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts will receive new dashboard layout with revised central console and new instrument console. The SUV is also likely to receive several high-end features like 360 degree camera, a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity and others. The new models will also receive advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, collision avoidance and others. The new models are likely to retain the existing 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 173bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.

Tata Curvv SUV Coupe Design

The homegrown automaker is currently ruling the electric vehicle space with more than 80 per cent market share. The company has recently launched the new Tiago EV, which has received over 10,000 bookings on Day 1. It is expected that Tata Motors will showcase a wide range of new electric vehicles at the 2023 Auto Expo. The company is likely to unveil the production version of the Altroz EV as well as the Punch based compact EV.

It is expected that Tata Motors could also unveil the near production version of the Curvv SUV Coupe concept. The production version of the Curvv SUV is scheduled to be launched in our market in 2024. It will come with a bigger battery pack with range close to 500kms. The company is also expected to unveil more EV concepts based on the Born Electric platform that underpins the Avinya EV Concept. Moreover, the Sierra EV concept could also be unveiled at the biennial event.
