Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will be the first product launch from the Chennai-based bikemaker in 2023. The new cruiser first broke cover at the 2022 EICMA in Milan, followed by its India debut at the Rider Mania in Goa. The model will go on sale in early weeks of January 2023. Its official launch date is yet to be announced.
Here’re 10 key details of the upcoming new Royal Enfield 650cc bike.
– The new Super Meteor 650 will be made available in two variants – Standard and Tourer, which are estimated to be priced around Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 4 lakh respectively. It will be the most expensive Royal Enfield offering in the country.
– While the Standard variant will come in Astral (Black, Blue, Green) and Interstellar (Grey and Green) colour schemes, the Tourer version can be had in Celestial (Red and Blue) colour options.

– Features such as a larger windscreen and larger pillion perch and backrests are exclusively available on the Tourer variant. The Standard variant is essentially a stripped-down version featuring a small pillion seat.
– The Royal Enfield Meteor 650 will be the brand’s third model to be designed on RE’s 650cc platform. Though, it has an all-new chassis offering better rake angle.
– The overall length, width and height of the new Royal Enfield 650cc bike stand at 2260mm, 890mm (without mirrors) and 1155mm respectively. It has a wheelbase of 1500mm and a ground clearance of 135mm. The cruiser offers a seat height of 740mm. It carries a kerb weight of 241kg (with 90% fuel and oil), and offers a fuel tank capacity of 15.7-litres.
– Powering the new Royal Enfield 650cc bike is a 648cc, air and oil-cooled, parallel twin engine, sourced from the RE 650 twins. Though, the bikemaker says that the unit has bespoke mapping and gearing and it offers 80 percent of peak torque at 2,500rpm. The motor pushes out a maximum power of 47bhp at 7,250rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5,650rpm. It has a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
– Braking system of the new Royal Enfield cruiser includes a single 320 disc and a 300mm disc front and rear brakes respectively. It gets dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
– The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is the company’s first model to come with a Showa USD fork and full LED headlamp. It’s also the first RE to get Tripper Navigation pod as standard fitment.
– Some of its key design elements include circular headlamp and taillamps, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, black finish on engine casings and head. The bike has been assembled with the 19-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheels and CEAT Zoom Cruz tyres.
– The RE Super Meteor 650 will be made available with a wide range of accessories including bar end mirrors, solo finisher, machined wheels, deluxe footpeg, LED indicators, touring windscreen, touring handlebar and more.
