Royal Enfield Interceptor, Continental GT 650 With Alloys Coming Soon

According to a fresh media report, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 will soon receive alloy wheels with tubeless tyres and new colour schemes. The updates might be introduced in the form of new variants that will be sold alongside the existing wire-spoke wheel model. The tubeless alloy wheels will help improving tis riding experience. The updated RE Interceptor 650 and Continental GT are also expected to come with the OBD2 emission complaint engine.

The new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are reported to hit roads towards the end of March 2023. It’s expected to be priced around Rs 12,000 premium than its existing model that costs Rs 3.05 lakh (ex-showroom). The RE Interceptor 650 is currently available within the price range of Rs 2.9 lakh and Rs 3.14 lakh. No other changes are likely to be made to the bike.

BS6 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650

The RE 650cc are currently offered with a 648cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that has SOHC setup. The motor pushes out a peak power of 47.45PS at 7,150rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5,250rpm. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed gearbox. The RE Interceptor 650 comes in 6 colour options – Ventura Blue, Orange Crush, Downtown Drag, Canyon Red, Sunset Strip, Baker Express. The Continental GT 650 can be had in 6 paint schemes – Rocker Red, Dux Deluxe, British Racing Green, Black Magic, Mister Clean and Ventura Storm.

In other updates, the Chennai-based bikemaker announced a range of new models that will be launched in the next couple of years. The lineup includes the new-generation Royal Enfield Bullet 350, a new 350cc Bobber based on the Classic, 5 new 450cc bikes and 6 new 650cc motorcycles. The upcoming RE 650cc range will consists of the Shotgun 650, Scrambler 650, Himalayan 650, Bullet 650 and Continental GT 650.
