Royal Enfield Hunter 350 – What We Know So Far

After introducing the new Scram 411, Royal Enfield is now planning to launch an all-new motorcycle in the country in the next few months. The company is testing multiple new motorcycles including a new retro classic roadster – rumoured to be called the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. Adding to it, the company is working on 3 new 650cc motorcycles and the next-gen RE Bullet.

– Royal Enfield has already announced to launch the a new motorcycle in every 3 months for next 2-3 years. The company had launched the Scram 411 on March 15, 2022. It is expected that the new Hunter 350 will go on sale by mid-2022, most probably by June or July.

– The new RE Hunter 350 will be based on the brand’s new ‘J’ platform that underpins the RE Meteor 350 and the new Classic 350. The company claims that the new platform offers improved straight line and cornering stability without compromising on comfort.

– The new motorcycle is likely to be offered in different trim levels. It has been spotted with alloy wheels as well as wire-spoke wheels. Re has already adopts this approach with the new Classic 350. The Dark variant of the motorcycle comes with alloy wheels, while the other versions get wire-spoke wheels.

– The new motorcycle will come with a single-piece seat, relaxed ergonomics, retro-styled circular headlamps, a rounded fuel tank and a tripper navigation system.

– The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will share the powertrain with the Meteor 350. It will be powered by a 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with OHC layout. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 20.2bhp and a peak torque of 27Nm. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.

– It is likely to share cycle parts with the Classic and the Meteor. The bike is expected to get 370mm front disc and 270mm rear disc along with a dual-channel ABS system as standard. It will get telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear.

– The multiple spy videos also reveal the exhaust note of the new Hunter 350. It sounds significantly different from the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350. It sounds sportier, which suggests that the engine character could also be different from its Meteor’s or Classic.
