We recently drove the all-new Jeep Meridian SUV and shared our experience about its off-road capabilities, performance and interior. Official bookings for the model will begin in May, followed by its launch. Deliveries, however, will commence in the third week of June 2022. The SUV model lineup will be spread across two variants – Limited and Limited (O). The latter comes with some exclusive features which are mentioned below. Read – Jeep Meridian Vs Compass – Similarities & Differences
The Meridian sits on the Compass platform, though it has been modified significantly to accommodate the third additional row. For power, the SUV uses the same 2.0L, 4-cylinder Multijet turbo diesel engine that does duty in the 5-seater sibling. The motor makes a top power of 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission duties are performed by a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic gearbox. One must note that the FWD system is available only with manual variants and the optional AWD comes with the automatic variants only.
