Renault recently introduced the Kiger compact SUV in India at an introductory starting price of Rs 5.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The subcompact SUV has been made available in four trims (RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ) and four engine-gearbox combinations. Based on the CMFA+ platform, the Kiger can be had with either a 72bhp, 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol or 100bhp, 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine.
Buyers have three gearboxes to choose from – a 5-speed manual (standard), an AMT (NA petrol only) and a CVT automatic (turbo-petrol only). The new Renault compact SUV comes in a choice of 6 colour options – Caspian Blue, Ice Cool White, Moonlight Grey, Planet Grey, Mahogany Brown and Radiant Red with Mystery Black Roof. Interestingly, the dual-tone paint schemes are offered on all variants. The Radiant Red shade, however, has been reserved for the top-end RXZ trim.
