RE Meteor 350 Exhaust Sound Revealed – Better Than Honda CB350?

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 exhaust sound misses the original iconic thump at high rpms.

The much-awaited RE Meteor 350 will finally go on sale in the country on November 6, 2020. Except for the pricing, most of the details about the new motorcycle have already been leaked on the Internet. This time, the exhaust sound of the cruiser motorcycle has been leaked in a walkaround video.

Originally planned to be launched in mid-2020, the motorcycle delayed due to supply chain disruption during COVID-19 Pandemic. The RE Meteor 350 already has a competition in the form of Honda H’ness CB350.

The leaked video reveals the exhaust sound of the motorcycle at idle as well as while revving at higher engine rpms. The motorcycle in the video is the Supernova variant, which is finished in dual-tone Brown and Black paint. The original thump is still offered at idle; however, it starts fading away when throttle input and on high revs. On high revs, it starts sounding like a typical single-cylinder motorcycle.

The Thunderbird and the BS4 bikes were equipped with the push-rod engine setup with longer stroke; however, the new RE Meteor 350 features a BSVI-compliant engine with SOHC setup. With shorter strokes and SOHC setup, the new motorcycle is likely to offer less vibrations and improved riding experience.

RE Meteor 350 Variants, Colors

The new motorcycle will come in 3 variants – Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. It will be offered in 7 color options – Fireball Red, Fireball Yellow, Stellar Red Metallic, Stellar Black Matte, Stellar Blue Metallic, Supernova Blue and Supernova Brown. Read More…
