A New Bike To Join TVS Apache Range Tomorrow – Special Edition RTR 200 4V?

TVS Motor Company has announced a new webcast event tomorrow to showcase a new offering of its premium brand. The company hasn’t released any official details of the motorcycle, but the teaser clearly reveals that it will be a naked bike. It is expected that the new motorcycle could be the special edition of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

The special edition of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is rumoured to be offered in a brand new blue colour. This model will be launched to celebrate TVS Motor Company’s 4 million sales milestone.

If reports are to be believed, the special edition TVS Apache RTR 200 4V could be offered with 3 riding modes – Rain, Urban and Track. This is the same feature that we have already seen on the Apache RR310. User can switch between these modes, and the power delivery changes according to the selected mode.

The special edition is likely to be the most feature-loaded Apache RTR 200 4V ever. The motorcycle is equipped with several segment-first features such as a low-speed riding mode called GTT (Glide Through Technology). This tech is claimed to provide controlled and smooth riding experience. The bike is equipped with new LED headlight and ‘feather touch’ start.

TVS Motor Company has also launched the Apache RTR 200 4V with Super Moto ABS, which is a single-channel ABS system. Other variants also gets dual-channel ABS system with RLP (Rear Wheel Lift-Off Protection) control and slipper clutch. The motorcycle also gets TVS SmartXonnect technology. Powering the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is a BSVI-compliant 197.75cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. This engine produces 20.5PS of power and 16.80Nm of torque.
