Royal Enfield Meteor Exhaust Sound Teased – Variants, Colours, Features

Royal Enfield Meteor 350, the successor of the Thunderbird 350, is all set to hit roads on 6th November, 2020. Ahead of its official launch, the company has released a new video teasing its exhaust sound. The new RE 350 motorcycle will be offered in three variants – Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. Colour options will vary variant-wise. There will be a total of 7 paint schemes, namely, Fireball Red, Fireball Yellow, Stellar Red Metallic, Stellar Blue Metallic, Stellar Black Matte, Supernova Blue and Supernova Brown.

The Meteor has retro-classic design with elements such as circular halogen headlamp, LED DRLs, forward-set footpegs, round turn indicators, raised handlebars and LED taillamps. It will be one of the first Royal Enfield bikes to feature ‘Tripper Navigation’ – the Bluetooth-enabled turn-by-turn GPS system. It will come with a semi-digital instrument cluster and a TFT display showing information such as service reminder, trip metre details, odometer and more.

Features such as black components, black engine with machined fins, single colour fuel tank, coloured rim tape and graphics with decal will be offered on the entry-level Fireball variant. The mid-spec Stellar will have body-coloured components, chrome on handle bar, premium badges, exhaust system, back rest and EFI cover. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will also be the brand’s first production model to be based on the new J1D platform. For power, the bike will have an all-new 350cc, air-cooled motor that will be slightly more powerful and torqueier than the existing 350cc engine. The new one will have SOHC (Single Over-Head Camshaft) setup. The upcoming RE 350 bike will come with a newly-developed 5-speed gearbox that’s likely to have smoother shifts. It will also have a new clutch with minimal components and linkages, thus ensuring longer life.
