Nissan Magnite Sport Edition Imagined; Looks Attractive

Launched in December 2020, the Nissan Magnite subcompact SUV has been generating volume for the carmaker in the country. The small SUV has been favoured for its sporty and compact design, feature-packed interior, efficient powertrains and of-course competitive pricing. At present, the Magnite comes in the price range of Rs 5.49 lakh – Rs 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom). A latest digital rendering previews a more rugged version of the Magnite, named Nissan Magnite Sport Edition. One must note that the carmaker has no plan to introduce any special variant or edition of the subcompact SUV as of now.

The Nissan Magnite Sport Edition gets visual enhancement over the regular model. The red accent on the front grille and blacked out trim instead of the chrome surround instantly grab the attention. The black plastic cladding on the wheel arches and blacked out treatment on the roof rails, side pillars and ORVMs with red accents enhance its side profile. The front faux skid plate has red finish replacing the stock silver paint.

Nissan Magnite Sport Edition Features

The rendered model features vertical LED DRLs (daytime running lights) instead of the L-shaped units. While the stock fog lamps have been removed, the new DRLs work as fog lamps. Its alloy wheels seem inspired by the Nissan GTR featuring gold finishing. The model has been painted in White shade with sporty Red graphics on the side panels. At present, the Nissan Magnite subcompact SUV is available with two petrol engines – a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated and 1.0-liter, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol unit. While the naturally aspirated motor makes a top power of 72bhp, the turbo petrol unit delivers 100bhp with 160Nm of torque. There is no diesel engine option. Both engines can be had with a 5-speed manual gearbox. While a CVT automatic transmission has been reserved for the turbo-petrol variants. The torque output of the turbo-petrol motor with CVT reduces to 152Nm.
