In April 2020, Toyota introduced its smallest SUV for the European market. Called the Toyota Yaris Cross, the model underpins the brand’s new GA-B compact car platform and retains the original Yaris characteristics (i.e. “big-small” design and packaging concept). Now, the carmaker has introduced its more rugged and sportier variant – 2021 Toyota Yaris Cross Adventure.
– The new variant receives Gazoo Racing (GR) treatment enhancing its visual appeal.
– Unlike the regular model, the new Toyota Yaris Cross Adventure features dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels with a dark grey finish.
– The blacked-out ORVMs, pillars and roof lining along with the black plastic claddings add more to its sportier appearance. The front diffuser and rear bumper have also been updated.

– Sporty bits continue to be offered inside the cabin as well. The SUV’s new variant has piano-black treatment with faux leather bucket-style seats and black headlining.
– It gets a slim golden strip running across inside the door panels and centre console.
– The carmaker will roll out a special Toyota Yaris Cross Premiere Edition based on the new Adventure variant. It will be retailed for a limited time period. The new special edition will feature dual-tone colour scheme, 18-inch machined alloy wheels, powered tailgate with kick sensor, exclusive leather seat upholstery and a head-up display.
– Powering the new Yaris Cross Adventure is the fourth-generation Toyota Electric Hybrid technology that does duty in the regular model. – It can be had with either 2WD or 4WD system that can be automatically changed via an intelligent traction system.
– The 2021 Toyota Yaris Cross Adventure will be introduced in the European market in the second half of 2021. Its deliveries, however, will begin in September 2021. One must note that the carmaker has no plant to bring in the Yaris Cross SUV in India.
