7-Seater Nissan Magnite SUV Under Consideration For India

According to a fresh media report, the Japanese automaker is evaluating three-row version of the Nissan Magnite for the Indian market. No changes will be made to its body style. The 7-seater Nissan Magnite SUV is likely to offer a sliding system to adjust legroom in the second and third rows. It will have a foldable bench seat, placed in the cargo space. The three-row seating arrangement could be “a tight fit” for adult passengers.

As of now, details of the upcoming 7-seater Nissan Magnite are scanty. Though, the model is expected to share most of its design elements and features with its subcompact sibling. Its standard fitment kit will include power windows, a 3.5-inch LCD MID display, dual airbags, rear parking sensors, automatic warning hazard on heavy braking and seatbelt reminder for the driver and front passenger.

Similar to the 5-seater Magnite, its three-row version might offer an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, voice recognition control, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, keyless entry and go, automatic AC unit, JBL speakers, leather wrapped steering wheel with grey stitching, a 360 degree camera, air purifier, wireless charger, ambient mood lighting, tyre pressure monitoring system, Nissan connect connected car tech and more. For power, the 7-seater Nissan Magnite could use the same engines that do duty in the sub-4 metre SUV. The latter comes with the 1.0L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engines making 72bhp and 100bhp respectively. Both motors are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the turbo-petrol unit is exclusively offered with a CVT automatic transmission. However, the turbo-petrol CVT configuration reduces the engines’ torque by 8Nm.

In the entry-level 7-seater SUV segment, the three-row Magnite will take on the Renault Triber and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Its prices are likely to fall in the range of Rs 5.50 lakh – Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom). More details on the upcoming 7-seater Nissan Magnite are likely to be revealed in near future.
