We reported earlier that Hyundai will launch a new entry-level Prestige Executive variant of the Alcazar SUV. The company has now silently rejigged the variant line-up of the 3-row SUV. The new Prestive Executive variant has now replaced the previous base-spec Prestive trims. The company could have opted for a new trim level to counter the semiconductor chips shortage problem.
The new Hyundai Alcazar Prestive Executive trim is available in 4 variants – Petrol MT, Diesel MT 7-seater, Diesel MT 6-seater and Diesel AT. The Alcazar Prestige Executive trim is now available in the price bracket of Rs 15.89 lakh to Rs 17.77 lakh. The previous Prestive trim was also offered in 4 variants priced between Rs 16.44 lakh and Rs 18.32 lakh. This means that the new Prestige Executive trim is around Rs 55,000 cheaper than the previous base-spec Prestige trim.
Prestige Executive Variants | New Prices | Prestige Old Prices | Difference |
Petrol MT | 15.89 Lakh | 16.44 Lakh | 55,000 |
Diesel MT 7-Seat | 16.3 Lakh | 16.85 Lakh | 55,000 |
Diesel MT 6-Seat | 16.3 Lakh | 16.85 Lakh | 55,000 |
Diesel AT | 17.77 Lakh | 18.32 Lakh | 55,000 |
Hyundai has removed some features to achieve lower pricing. The Prestige Executive trim misses out on connected car tech, auto-dimming IRVM and chrome door handles. Moreover, the 10.25-inch touchscreen has been replaced by an 8-inch display. This trim continues to offer features like panoramic sunroof, LED lighting, wireless phone charging, a tyre pressure monitoring system and electronic stability control.
The new Hyundai Alcazar Prestige Executive trim is offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The diesel version comes with manual as well as automatic gearbox options. The Alcazar is offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel.
The 2.0L gasoline motor is capable of producing 159PS and 191Nm of torque, while the 1.5L diesel engine churns out 115PS and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The manual versions of the petrol and diesel engines are claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 14.5kmpl and 20.4kmpl respectively.
