Nissan Magnite Prices To Be Released On November 26, 2020

We reported earlier that Nissan dealers have unofficially started taking pre-orders for the much-awaited Magnite sub-4 meter SUV. It is reported that the prices of the Nissan Magnite compact SUV will be released on November 26, 2020; however, Nissan is yet to make an official statement on the same.

Expected Prices

The Nissan Magnite will be the most affordable SUV in its category. The compact SUV will be offered in 4 trim levels – XE, XL, XV and XV Premium – and in total of 8 variants. The new model is most likely to be priced in the range of Rs 5.50 lakh to Rs 8.15 lakh.

Competition

The upcoming Nissan Magnite will be launched as an affordable alternative to the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and the Maruti Vitara Brezza. In fact, Renault, Citroen, Honda and MG Motors are also readying their respective sub-4 meter SUVs for the Indian market.

Nissan Magnite Turbo Engine

The new Nissan Magnite will be offered with 2 engine options – a 1.0L 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol. Paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the naturally-aspirated engine offers 71bhp at 6,250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. The turbocharged engine offers two states of tunes – 99bhp/160Nm with 5-speed manual gearbox and 99bhp/152Nm with CVT automatic.

In terms of proportions, the new Magnite is 3,994mm long, 1,758mm wide, 1,572mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,500mm. The SUV offers a ground clearance of 205mm. It comes with a boot space of 336-litres, which can be extended to 660-litres by folding the rear seats.
