Nissan has officially released the variant-wise engine specifications and features of the soon-to-be-launched Magnite sub-4 meter SUV. The Nissan Magnite compact SUV will be offered in 4 trim levels – XE, XL, XV and XV Premium – and in total of 10 variants. The company has also released that turbocharged engine of the new Magnite compact SUV.
Nissan Magnite Safety Features
– Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, anti-roll bar, rear parking sensors, immobilizer, child lock, automatic warning hazard on heavy braking, seat belt reminder and rear window defogger comes as standard.
– The turbo and higher variants are equipped with LED front fog lamps, central door lock driver side switch, impact sensing door unlock, speed sensing lock, rear camera with projection guide, vehicle dynamic control (VDC), Hill start assist (HSA), traction control system (TCS), HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist), Around view monitor, tyre pressure monitoring system, remote keyless entry and i-Key (Hands Free).
Nissan Magnite Exterior Highlights
– The top-spec model comes fitted with LED Bi Projector Headlamp, while the other variants are fitted with Halogen hgeadlamp. The higher variants also get LED DRL (Daytime Running Light) with LED Turn indicator in headlamp.
– The SUV gets chromed front grille, body-coloured bumpers, ORVMs with integrated blinkers and chromed door handles.
– The top-spec variants are fitted with 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
Interior Highlights
– Top variants get driver and front passenger’s seat with slide and reclining functions. Adding to it, the SUV gets height adjustable driver’s seat.
– Higher variants get seat back pocket and rear seat armrest with 2 cupholders.
– Key features include adjustable headrest for front and rear occupants, and 60:40 split rear seat, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition, WhatsApp notifications rear outs, iPOD Support and rear view camera with display guidelines.
The SUV also gets multi-functional steering wheel, 7-inch TFT instrument console and around view monitor display on screen.
Comfort and Convenience Features
In terms of features, the SUV gets push button start/stop system, power windows, automatic AC, rear AC vents with chrome finish, cruise control, map lamp, trunk lamp, rear wiper, rear parcel tray, front and rear door armrest, etc.
The company is also offering Tech Pack with the higher variants, which offers features like wireless charger, air purifier, high-end speakers from JBL, LED scuff plates, ambient mood lighting and puddle lamps.
Dimensions
In terms of proportions, the new Magnite is 3,994mm long, 1,758mm wide, 1,572mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,500mm. The SUV offers a ground clearance of 205mm. It comes with a boot space of 336-litres, which can be extended to 660-litres by folding the rear seats.
Nissan Magnite Specifications
The new Nissan Magnite is available with 2 engine options – a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol. Paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the naturally-aspirated engine offers 71bhp at 6,250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. The turbocharged engine offers two states of tunes – 99bhp/160Nm with 5-speed manual gearbox and 99bhp/152Nm with CVT automatic.
For suspension duties, the SUV gets Mac Pherson strut with lower transverse link at the front and twin tube telescopic shock absorber at the rear. The SUV rides on 16-inch wheels shod with 195/60 section tyres. The 1.0L NA with manual gearbox has a kerb weight of 939kgs, while the 1.0L Turbo manual and 1.0L turbo CVT weighs 1014kg and 1039kg respectively.
Colors
The new Nissan Magnite comes in 4 dual-tone and 4 montone colour options. The dual-tone colour options include Flare Garnet Red with Onyx Black, Pearl White with Onyx Black, Tourmaline Brown with Onyx Black and Vivid Blue with Storm White. The monotone colour options include Blade Silver, Sandstone Brown, Onyx Black and Storm White.
