Nissan Magnite Official Pictures Out; Unveil On 21st October

Nissan India has announced that it will unveil the production-ready Magnite subcompact SUV on 21st October, 2020. Ahead of its official debut, the carmaker has released the pictures of the vehicle being tested at Nissan’s Tochigi Proving Ground testing facility. The company says that the Nissan Magnite has been designed to meet the requirements of Indian customers. It will come with “an array of best-in-class and first-in-class features”.

The SUV’s production-spec model retains most of the design elements from the concept. Upfront, the Magnite features an octagonal grille, angular headlamps and a sculpted bonnet. The side profile looks muscular with pronounced wheel arches and body cladding. Painted in dual-tone shade, the test mule features silver roof rails and blacked out pillars. At the rear, the new Nissan SUV carries a layered bumper, LED taillamps and a roof mounted spoiler.

Nissan Magnite Features

Most of the interior features will be carried over from the concept. As mentioned above, Nissan claims that its new small SUV will be packed with several segment-first features. While the official details are yet to be revealed, it’s likely to come with a 360 degree camera, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, cruise control, steering mounted controls and automatic climate control. The all-new Nissan Magnite will be made available with 1.0L, 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated and 1.0L, 3-cylidner turbocharged petrol engines. While the former will make a maximum power of 72bhp, the latter one will be good enough for 95bp. There will be three gearboxes on offer – manual, AMT and CVT. A CVT automatic transmission will be reserved for the turbo-petrol variants.

Nissan Magnite Specs

Prices of the upcoming Nissan compact SUV are likely to be announced early next year. If reports are to be believed, it will be priced as low as Rs 5.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will take on the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza (entry-level variants) and the upcoming Renault Kiger.
