Launched in December 2020, the Nissan Magnite has been receiving an overwhelming response from buyers. The company has released the sales figures for August 2021, which confirms that the Magnite has received over 60,000 bookings in the country. In May 2021, Nissan had announced to receive 50,000 bookings with digital platform accounts for 10% of total orders.
It was reported that the top-end XV and XV Premium variants contributes to 60% of the total bookings with CVT variants accounting for 15%. The Nissan Magite is available in 5 trim levels – XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O). The sub-compact SUV is available in the price bracket of Rs 5.59 lakh to Rs 9.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SUV is available with 5 automatic variants priced between Rs 8.39 lakh and Rs 9.90 lakh.
The Nissan Magnite is available with two petrol engines – a 1.0-litre NA petrol and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. While the former is good for 72bhp and 91Nm of torque, the turbo unit produces 99bhp and 160Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic (1.0L turbo only).
The top-spec Magnite is equipped with high-end features such as LED bi-projector headlamps with LED DRLs, faux skid plates, electrically adjustable and foldable wing mirrors and 16-inch diamond-cut alloys. It is packed with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with segment-first wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and voice recognition tech.
The SUV comes with a 7-inch TFT display for instrument panel, a 360 degree around view camera, push-button start, cruise control and TPMS (tyre-pressure monitoring system). The XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O) trims are offered with an optional Tech package that costs an extra Rs 39,000. This package offers JBL speakers, wireless charging system, ambient mood lighting, air purifier and puddle lamps.
