Nissan Magnite Cost of Maintenance Lowest-in-Segment – Claims Nissan

Nissan India claims that its newly-launched Magnite subcompact has the lowest-in-class maintenance cost, which is 29 paise/km for the first 50,000kms. The company is offering a warranty of 2 years (50,000kms) that can be extended for up to 5 years (100,000kms) at a nominal cost. Furthermore, there are multiple labour-free services available at all service networks in the country. Nissan’s new compact SUV comes with a prepaid maintenance plan called – “Nissan Magnite Care”.

Customers can save up to 22% under the new prepaid scheme that’s applicable for 2 to 5 years. It has two options – Gold and Silver – covering comprehensive periodic maintenance service and basic maintenance service. Interestingly, owners will also be able to transfer the maintenance plan with the change of ownership.

One can check the service cost along with division of labour and parts in advance via Nissan Service Cost Calculator via Nissan Service Hub (website) or Nissan Connect. Therefore, customers can plan the service booking accordingly. In November 2020, the Japanese carmaker introduced ‘Nissan Express Service’ which delivers a quick and comprehensive service experience in just 90 minutes at no additional cost. The newly-launched Nissan Magnite has gathered over 15,000 bookings and 1,50,000 enquiries so far. Prices of the compact SUV start from Rs 4.99 lakh for the XE manual base model and go up to Rs 9.35 lakh for the fully-loaded turbo XV Premium CVT variant. These are introductory ex-showroom prices, which are bound to be increased from 1st January 2021.

The new Nissan small SUV can be had with either a 1.0L naturally-aspirated petrol (72bhp/96Nm) or a 1.0L turbocharged petrol (100bhp/152Nm) engine. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the model lineup. The turbo-petrol variants are exclusively offered with a CVT automatic gearbox.
