Nissan India has been betting big on the newly-launched Magnite subcompact SUV. With competitive pricing and several advanced features, the compact SUV has been receiving overwhelming response from buyers. In less than 15 days of its arrival, the Nissan Magnite gathered over 10,000 bookings. Interestingly, 60% bookings came for the range-topping trims and 40% bookings were made via online. The increasing demand has stretched its waiting period up to three months, depending on the variant.
The Magnite model lineup comes in a total of 20 variants spread across four trims – XE, XL, XV and XV Premium. Its engine setup includes a 1.0L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated and a 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol motor making 72bhp and 100bhp respectively. There are two gearboxes on offer – a 5-speed manual (standard) and a CVT automatic (turbo-petrol only).
As per a leaked document, the entry-level XE commands a maximum waiting period of over 12 weeks. The XL, XV turbo, XV Premium turbo MT, XV turbo Premium (O) MT and CVT are observing waiting period of between 6 to 8 weeks. While the Magnite XV Premium turbo CVT and XV turbo MT have a waiting period of 5-7 weeks and 4-6 weeks, the XL turbo MT can be had within 3 to 5 weeks.
