New Yezdi Bikes – Roadking & ADV To Launch On 13th January 2022

Mahindra-owned Classic Legends had re-introduced the iconic Jawa and the BSA Motorcycles brand in 2018 and 2021 respectively. Seeing the growing popularity of latest generation Jawa bikes, the company is now ready to revive the iconic Yezdi motorcycle brand in India.

Classic Legends has recently teased the Yezdi is coming soon. The company has also shared a new teaser with a date 13-01-2022, January 13, 2022. The iconic three lines running through the teaser clearly reveals that the Yezdi will debut on January 13, 2022.

It is expected that Classic Legends will introduce two new Yezdi motorcycles – Roadking Scrambler and a new Adventure motorcycle. The Roadking Scrambler will rival the likes of the Honda CB350 RS and the upcoming RE Hunter 350. On the other hand, the Yezdi ADV will come as an affordable alternative to the RE Himalayan.

These two motorcycles have already been spotted testing multiple times. In fact, clear images of the Yezdi ADV have already hit the web world. The new bikes could be based on a new platform that has a higher load-bearing rear subframe. It could be the modified architecture that underpins the Jawa bike.

The Yezdi Roadking will be a neo-retro scrambler with design elements like a round headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, circular rearview mirrors, single-piece seat, upright tail-section and fork gaiters. It will have a twin exhaust setup, and a small LED headlamp. It is expected to offer comfortable riding posture with wide handlebar, centre-set footpegs and comfortable seat. The motorcycle is likely to share the suspension setup, engine and other cycle parts with Jawa.Suspension mechanism will include telescopic front forks and moshock at the rear. For braking, it will have disc brakes and dual-channel ABS system.

Talking about the ADV, the new motorcycle is likely to share design from its biggest rival – the RE Himalayan. Some of the design highlights will include a traditional round headlamp, a tall windscreen, a bulbous fuel tank, round-shaped rear-view mirrors, and split seat setup.

The new Yezdi motorcycles are likely to be powered by a 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that powers the Jawa Perak Bobber. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, this engine produces 30bhp and 32.74Nm of torque. The vehicles could get a slipper and assist clutch.
