New Yamaha R15 V4 First Spy Images Reveal Details

Yamaha YZF-R15 has always been popular among entry-level sports bike lovers. It has always been a bike that gives first time buyers a taste of a fully-faired motorcycle. So every time there’s news around its update, it creates buzz in the market. Looks like Yamaha is finally testing the next update of the Yamaha R15 as a couple of test mules of the updated model have been spotted recently.

A YouTuber, Abhinav Bhatt, recently spotted the Yamaha R15 V4 near Delhi confirming the updates it’s bound to receive. While the motorcycle’s rear looks pretty identical to the ongoing model, the front end has been revamped completely as it takes inspiration from its elder sibling R7.

Looks like, the Yamaha YZF-R15 no longer features the bi-LED headlamp unit. It now has a single LED headlamp with LED DRLs. Since the bikes were on the move when the video was shot, not much can be said about other design updates. Having said that, the fairing is likely to be expected giving its front and side a fresh appeal. Check Out – Yamaha R15 V4.0 Shapes Up Nicely In A Digital Rendering

With almost similar position for clip-ons, higher seat and rear-set foot pegs, the R15 will continue to attract younger buyers because of it sportsbike-like seating stance. As can be seen in the video, the R15 V4 will not get upside down front forks which we think should have been introduced in its new-gen model. Other features too are expected to remain unchanged.

As far as the engine is concerned, the motorcycle will continue to feature the same 155cc, single-cylinder unit paired to a 6-speed gearbox. In its current avatar, this engine puts out a peak power of 18.5bhp and a peak torque of 14.1Nm. The power figures are most likely to remain similar. Also like the current model, the R15 V4 will continue to get slipper clutch.

At this point, we don’t have so much details on the motorcycle, but we’ll continue to bring fresh reports on the motorcycle as and when we see another spy shot or hear anything related from Yamaha. Stay tuned.
