Featuring a 7-seat layout, the new generation 2018 Toyota Rush SUV will officially go on sale in Indonesia in January 2018

Japanese automaker, Toyota has officially unveiled the new 2018 Toyota Rush SUV in the Indonesian market. The second generation Rush will be available with a seven-seat option. Toyota hasn’t revealed the prices of the SUV, but reports suggest that the vehicle will go on sale in Indonesia in January 2018. In terms of styling, the new model looks more a crossover than the SUV.

The exterior styling of the new 2018 Toyota Rush seems styling from the Daihatsu FT concept. It comes with MPV-like silhouette will crossover elements such as body cladding, faux underbody protection and raised ride height. The SUV gets a black finish grille and LED headlights and tail-lights. Toyota has also revealed the TRD Sportivo variant, which is equipped with TRD kit. It features TRD badged skid plates with red treatment, side moulding, blackened fog lamp enclosures and TRD Sportivo badging on the rear door. Keyless entry feature is only offered with the TRD Sportivo. The lower-spec Toyota Rush G version is equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the SUV gets dual-tone black and beige finish. The dashboard features soft-touch materials, while the central console has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Miracast and weblink capabilities. The instrument cluster gets blue and white backlighting, while a multi-information display is positioned between the speedometer and tachometer.

Dimensionally, the new Toyota Rush is 4,435mm in length, 1,695mm in width and 1,705mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,685mm. Under the bonnet is a 2NR-VE, 4-cylinder Dual VVT-i petrol engine that churns out 104PS of power and 136Nm of torque. A five-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels come as standard, while a 4-speed automatic transmission is offered on the Sportivo variant.
