The new generation Maruti Swift is based on the new generation Suzuki’s platform that also underpins the new Dzire. The hatchback will be powered by the same set of engines – a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre MJD diesel. The company could launch the sportier RS version of the hatchback, which will be powered by a 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine producing 100bhp and 150Nm of torque.
