New Tata Safari Reaches Dealerships – Price Expectations

Tata Motors recently unveiled the new Safari SUV with modern design, feature laden interior and efficient powertrain. Official bookings for the model will begin from coming Thursday (4th February 2021) and its launch is expected in following weeks. Ahead of its price announcement, the new Tata Safari has started arriving at dealerships across the nation.

The SUV model lineup will be available in 6 trims, powered by the Harrier’s 170bhp, 2.0L Kryotec turbocharged diesel engine. Transmission choices will include manual and torque converter automatic units.

New Tata Safari Bookings

The new Tata Safari prices are likely to start from Rs 15 lakh for the entry-level XE variant and go up to Rs 21.50 lakh – Rs 22 lakh for the fully-loaded XZA+ trim. If launched at this price point, the new bigger Tata SUV will be around Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the 5-seater Harrier. The standard list of features include projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 16-inch steel wheels, roof rails, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, all power windows, charging ports for the middle and third row seats’ passengers, 50:50 split folding third row, 60:40 split, folding and recline second row seats, AC vents and controls in the third row, Boss mode for moving front passenger seat forward, dual airbags, hill-hold assist, roll over mitigation, electronic stability program, rear parking sensors, rear disc brakes, traction control and central locking.

Tata Safari Interior

For connectivity purpose, the higher trims offer an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SUV also comes equipped with 9-speaker JBL audio system, a 7.0-inch digital display for instrument cluster, leatherette upholstery, 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, a panoramic sunroof, hill descent control, Isofix child seat mounts, terrain response modes and many more goodies.

The new Tata Safari will be offered with 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. However, the 6-seat layout is exclusively available on the top-end XZ+ and XZA+ trims.
