Top 5 Upcoming New Royal Enfield Bikes In 2021-22

Royal Enfield is getting aggressive with its product strategy for the Indian market. The company plans to launch multiple new bikes including a new 650cc cruiser and new-gen Classic. Adding to it, RE will introduce the updated version of the Himalayan. In this article, we bring you a list of upcoming new Royal Enfield Bikes in India in the next 2 years –

RE Hunter 350

Royal Enfield is testing an all-new 350cc neo-classic motorcycle, which is reportedly to be called the RE Hunter 350 (claims leaked documents). It will have retro-styled circular headlamp and tail-lamp, a single piece seat and teardrop fuel tank. The motorcycle will have 17-inch front and rear wheels. It comes equipped with a twin-pod instrument console with Tripper Navigation system. The bike will have a single disc front and rear brake along with dual-channel ABS system.

The Hunter 350 will be based on the brand’s new J platform, which also underpins RE Meteor 350. Not just platform, the bike will get a 350cc fuel injected engine that is tuned to offer 20.2bhp of power and 27Nm of torque.

The company’s most popular motorcycle, the Classic 350 will receive a new generation this year. Scheduled to be launched in the second quarter of 2021, the new RE Classic 350 will be based on a new modular ‘J’ architecture. This platform is claimed to improve its stability during corners. The motorcycle will retain the original Classic-look; however, it gets new fuel tank and alloys, new tail-lamps and exhaust system along with a semi-digital instrument console with an analogue speedometer. It will use the new 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with an OHC design. This single-cylinder engine churns out 20.2bhp of power at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.

Royal Enfield is also testing a new motorcycle, which shares the design with the bigger Interceptor 650. Likely to be called the Interceptor 350, the new model shares the the tail-section and turn indicators from the 650cc bike. However, it gets a single exhaust system instead of the twin exhaust in the Interceptor 650. Similar to the Hunter and Classic, the bike will share the platform and engine with the Metero 350. Disc brakes and dual-channel ABS system will be offered as standard. Similar to the cruiser sibling, the Interceptor will have Tripper navigation.

RE Cruiser 650

A new 650cc Cruiser motorcycle will join the existing 650cc RE range, which comprises of the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. The motorcycle is scheduled to be launched by the end of this year, before Diwali. It is expected to be based on the same platform that underpins the RE 650cc twins. The motorcycle is likely to share the design cues from the KX concept, which was showcased at the 2019 EICMA. The spy images suggest that the new motorcycle features a low-slung typical-cruiser like profile. The bike will have round headlamps along with large visor for wind protection, slender fuel tank and alloy wheels. The motorcycle will have longer wheelbase compared to the Continental GT and Interceptor 650. It will be powered by a 649cc twin-cylinder engine is capable of producing 47PS of maximum power and 52Nm of peak torque. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.

2021 RE Himalayan

Royal Enfield is all set to introduce the updated version of the Himalayan, which has already been leaked on the Internet. The media reports also claim that the new RE Himalayan will cost Rs 2.51 lakh. The motorcycle will come with 3 new colors – Mirage Silver, Pine Green and Granite Black. It will also receive Tripper navigation system, which is basically a Google-powered turn-by-turn navigation system. Powering the motorcycle is a 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 24.3bhp and 32Nm, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
