New Renault Jogger 7-Seater Family Car To Debut On 3rd September

Renault’s sub-brand in Europe, Dacia has released a teaser of its upcoming new 7seater MPV called – Dacia Jogger (Renault Jogger). The model is ready to make its global debut on September 3, followed by its public unveiling at the IAA Munich next week. While its European launch is likely to happen towards the end of 2021 or early 2022, the carmaker has no plan to bring in it in India anytime soon.

Painted in Orange colour scheme, the three-row utility vehicle appears to be a wagon version of the Logan sedan with rugged styling. The teaser video shows the quarter glass and roof bars that look similar to the Sandero Stepway. While its headlamps seem carried forward from the new Logan, the Volvo-esque taillamps with Dacia’s Y-shaped graphics give it a unique look. The upright rear stance ensures maximum cargo space. Design and styling of its production-ready version might be inspired by the Dacia Bigster concept that broke cover early this year.

Interior of the upcoming Dacia Jogger (Renault Jogger) is still under the wraps. Though, it’s likely to share some of its features with the Sandero Stepway including the dashboard design. The MPV will be made available in 5-seats and 7-seats configurations and provide an ample boot space.

Official details of the Jogger MPV are likely to be revealed on its unveiling day. Though, the model is reported to come with the 1.3L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engine options. The same powertrains do duty in the Europe-spec Dacia Duster. The diesel model will be exclusively offered with the 4X4 drivetrain system. Dacia’s new small family car can be had with either a manual gearbox or an automatic transmission.

Talking about Renault’s India plan, the French automaker is reported to launch the third-generation Duster SUV in the next couple of years. The new model will underpin the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B modular platform, thus making it compatible to electric and hybrid powertrains. Globally, the 2024 Renault Duster is likely to be offered with the new E-Tech type hybrid system.
