MG Motor India has further expanded its ZS EV model lineup with a new ADAS variant that’s priced at Rs 27.89 lakh. Called the MG ZS EV Exclusive Pro, the new variant comes with Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance) tech that’s claimed to enhance its “driving experience by providing assistance, control and comfort in various driving situations”. The carmaker says that price of the 2023 MG ZS EV Exclusive Pro variant is valid for a limited time. Currently, the electric SUV comes within the price range of Rs 23.38 lakh – Rs 27.40 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
MG’s Level 2 autonomous tech works on three levels of sensitivity – low, medium and high, and three levels of warning – haptic, audio and visual. The ADAS suite includes traffic jam assist, forward collision warning, speed assist system, lane functions and adaptive cruise control.
Besides Level 2 ADAS, the MG ZS EV comes with a range of advanced safety fitments such as 6 airbags, 360 degree camera with rear parking sensors (first-in-segment), hill start assist, hill descent control (first-in-segment), electronic stability control, ABS with EBD and bake assist, tyre pressure management system, electronic parking brake with auto hold, emergency stop signal, seatbelt reminder for all seats, speed warning alert, front and rear disc brakes and heated ORVMs. Read: Is MG Planning A New Compact SUV?
Powertrain setup of the MG ZS EV includes a IP69K rated 50.3kW battery pack and an 8-layer hairpin electric motor. The e-motor pushes out a peak power of 174.33bhp and 280Nm of torque. The electric SUV offers a claimed range of 461km on a single charge. Its battery pack supports both AC fast and DC superfast charging.
The ZS EV has three drive modes – Normal, Eco and Sports. It’s capable to do 0 to 100kmph in 8.5 seconds. MG offers the EV in four exterior colour options – Starry Black, Glaze Red, Candy White and Aurora Silver.
