Maruti Suzuki has introduced the CNG version of the new Fronx crossover in the Indian market. To be retailed through NEXA premium dealership, the new Maruti Fronx CNG is available in two variants – Sigma and Delta – priced at Rs 8.41 lakh and Rs 9.27 lakh respectively. Compared to the petrol derivative, the Fronx CNG is around Rs 93,500 expensive.
The new Maruti Suzuki Fronx is powered by a 1.2-litre K-Series DualJet, Dual VVT engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit. In CNG mode, the powertrain produces a peak power output of 77.5PS at 6000rpm and a peak torque of 98.5Nm at 4,300rpm. It is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The CNG version is claimed to offer an impressive fuel economy of 28.51 km/kg. In the petrol mode, the engine produces 89bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 113Nm at 4,400rpm.
With the introduction of the new Fronx CNG, Maruti Suzuki’s portfolio now has 15 models in the CNG category. This crossover can also be owned through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe at an all-inclusive monthly subscription fee starting from Rs 23,248.
The entry-level Sigma variant comes fitted with features like halogen projector headlamps, keyless entry & go, automatic AC, fabric seat upholstery, hill hold assist, ESP, reverse parking sensors, dual airbags & rear defogger. The Delta variant has turn indicators on ORVMs, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, voice assist features, OTA updates, 4-speaker sound system, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, steering wheel-mounted controls and others.
