We have reported that MG Motor India is planning to add new variants to its Hector and Gloster SUVs’ model lineup. The 2021 MG Hector will receive a new mid-spec Shine variant, which was recently caught on camera. The spy pictures confirm that the new variant will come with a single-pane sunroof. One must note that the range-topping Sharp is the only trim to offer dual-pane panoramic sunroof. At present, the Hector SUV comes in 13 variants spread across four trims – Style, Super, Smart and Sharp.
In the model lineup, the 2021 MG Hector Shine will sit above the Super and below the Smart trims. Official details of the new variant will be revealed in coming days. Though, it’s likely to be packed with goodies such as a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, four speakers with two tweeters, rear parking camera, cruise control, chrome interior door handles, LED taillamps and LED rear fog lamps.
Recently, the British carmaker increased prices of the Hector SUV by up to Rs 40,000. After the price hike, the petrol variants come in the price range of Rs 13.5 lakh – Rs 18.75 lakh and diesel models costs between Rs 14.99 lakh – Rs 19.21 lakh. There are three petrol hybrid manual variants – Super, Smart and Sharp – priced at Rs 15 lakh, Rs 16.38 lakh and Rs 17.75 lakh respectively. The Smart and Sharp petrol CVT variants can be had at Rs 17.05 lakh and Rs 18.75 lakh respectively. The entry-level Style and Super manual variants are offered at Rs 13.50 lakh and Rs 14.17 lakh respectively. The Style, Super, Smart and Sharp diesel variants are currently available at Rs 14.99 lakh, Rs 16 lakh, Rs 17.80 lakh and Rs 19.21 lakh respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
