New Kia Seltos In Huge Demand – 50000 Bookings In 2 Months

Kia India has received over 50,000 bookings for the new Kia Seltos in just 2 months. The new Seltos has been receiving an overwhelming response from buyers since its launch in July 2023. With this, Kia becomes one of the fastest OEMs to cross the mark in the highly competitive mid-SUV segment.

Kia has also completed 4 lakh domestic sales this month and 5.47 lakh sales of Seltos including exports since its inception. The company claims that the top variants of the SUV are in high demand. Close to 77% of total bookings come from the top variants (HTX onwards). Moreover, an impressive 47% of all bookings were made for variants equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The Kia Seltos is available in 3 engine options – a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo diesel and a 1.5L turbo petrol. It is offered in 3 trim levels – Tech-Line, GT Line and the X-Line. The naturally-aspirated petrol version is priced between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 16.59 lakh, while the turbo petrol version is available in the price bracket of Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh. The diesel version of the Seltos is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh for the base variant, while the top-spec variant is tagged at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Commenting on Seltos success, Mr. Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales & Business Officer, Kia India, said, ​”Seltos has become one of the most trusted and comfortable driving experience for new-age customers. The design and technology flaunt factor combined with the car’s value proposition is hard to achieve and is a big reason behind its mega success. In response to the overwhelming demand, we have also optimised our production to keep the waiting period at a minimum so that our customers don’t have to wait to get their hands on their favourite SUV.”

The SUV comes fitted with 15 safety features as standard and 17 ADAS Level 2 Autonomous features.  The ADAS tech offer features like forward collision warning assist, emergency braking, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, and others. In terms of safety features, the SUV gets six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, TPMS and three-point seat belts as standard. The SUV also comes equipped with dual screen panoramic display, dual-zone fully automatic AC and dual pane panoramic sunroof.
